Manali - Naggar - Malana - Kasol - Manali Trek

Malana- a small cluster of around two hundred stone roof houses and 1500 inhabitants-lies below the Chanderkhani pass of the Kullu valley. The village that consists of upper Malana (Dhara Bhed) and lower Malana (Sora Bhed) boasts a unique culture and the temple of the local god- Jamlu. The place has an impeccable system of administration with a higher and lower court and very friendly people of Malana. Enjoy a trek that takes you through splendid nature and gives a fascinating glimpse of local life.

  • DELHI - MANALI (BY VEHICLE) (570 KM / ABOUT 13-14 HRS DRIVE)

    From Manali , you will drive to 21 km. on the left bank of Beas river and then you will do trekking to Rumsu, which presents spectacular sights of villages along the way. At Naggar we visit Nicolas Roerich art gallery and Naggar Castle and start our trek to Rumsu. It is a gentle climb through apple orchards to a lovely village. Over night in camp.

  • MANALI - NAGGAR-RUMSU (2,377m; 3 hours)

    From Manali , you will drive to 21 km. on the left bank of Beas river and then you will do trekking to Rumsu, which presents spectacular sights of villages along the way. At Naggar we visit Nicolas Roerich art gallery and Naggar Castle and start our trek to Rumsu. It is a gentle climb through apple orchards to a lovely village. Over night in camp.

  • RUMSU - BASE OF CHADERKHANI PASS(3,600m; 5 hours)

    Today is an easy climb through the forests of conifer to alpine meadows that offer a magnificent view of Pir Panjal Range and peaks rising above 6,000m. Overnight in the camp.

  • BASE OF CHADERKHANI - CHANDERKHANI PASS - MALANA

    Today a lovely trail leads you to the Chanderkhani Pass (3,660m) and offers splendid views of Dhouladhar range, Parvati valley and Malana valley. You will make a steep descent to Malana. In the evening you will visit Malana village and explore the local life. Overnight at camp in Malana (2,650m).

  • MALANA - RASHOL PASS - RASHOL VILLAGE

    After you will descent to Malana river, you will cross the bridge and climb to Rashol Pass (3,180m) and enter the Parvati valley. Easy descent to Rashol village (2,590m). Overnight in a camp.

  • RASHOL- KASOL- MANIKARAN - MANALI (4 hours)

    Today you will walk through the forest and cross the Parvati River before arriving in Kasol- A permanent stop for backpackers. Many of them make a long stay here. Further, drive to Manikaran hot springs which is said to have healing powers. Visit the hindu and the Sikh temple and then drive back to Manali (90 km). Later you will proceed to the next destination

  • MANALI - DELHI (4 hours)

    Moring check out to hotel & drive to Delhi. Have your lunch on famous restaurant on midway itself . Arrive in Delhi & you will be transferred to airport/railway station for your onward destination.
